Mandat de arestare in lipsa pentru milionarii israelieni Benny Steinmetz, Tal Silberstein si Shimon Shevez in dosarul Remus Truica000

Tal Silberstein - constituire a unui grup infractional organizat, trafic de influenta si complicitate la spalarea banilor;

Myanmar elects Htin Kyaw as first civilian president in decades00..

Myanmar's parliament has elected Htin Kyaw as the country's next president, the first civilian leader after more than 50 years of military rule.

Htin Kyaw is a close ally of Aung San Suu Kyi, whose National League for Democracy (NLD) party swept to victory in historic elections in November.

He said his appointment was "Aung San Suu Kyi's victory".

Ms Suu Kyi is barred from the post by the constitution, but has said she will lead the country anyway.

How Suu Kyi could be more powerful outside the presidency

Htin Kyaw won with 360 of the 652 votes cast in the two houses of parliament, with MPs erupting into applause when the result was announced.

"Victory! This is sister Aung San Suu Kyi's victory. Thank you," Htin Kyaw said after winning.

The end result when it finally came was entirely as expected, with a landslide victory for Ms Suu Kyi's man, Htin Kyaw.

Given the miseries that this country has suffered this was another incredible momentous occasion.

But if she was enjoying it , or reflecting on the sacrifices that were made to get here, Ms Suu Kyi gave no indication. Just as she has done since the election in November, the former pro-democracy campaigner avoided the media and made no public comment.

No doubt acting on her instructions (probably a taste of what's to come) Htin Kyaw remained elusive.

The only time I saw Myanmar's next president was at the end of a cordoned-off corridor, waiting for the arrival of Ms Suu Kyi.

Cops hot on heels of Subang yttJaya burglar..............

SUBANG JAYA: USJ residents can rest assured that the police are taking every necessary measure to hunt down a burglar who escaped a police patrol recently, says Comm Datuk Abdul Samah Mat.

The Selangor police chief said that the police had mobilised a team to track down the suspect and arrest the suspect.

"We haven't made any arrests but we are carrying out investigations to track him down.

"The residents in the area have nothing to worry about. We have the situation under control," he assured.

At least three shots were fired when policemen were in a vehicular pursuit of a man who broke into a house at USJ13/5B at 8.05am Monday.

The suspect had rammed into the patrol car in his bid to escape, and police retaliated by shooting at his car. However, the suspect managed to flee the scene.

The suspect, who was wearing a black shirt and white pants, abandoned his car by the roadside near a school in USJ12 and ran towards the houses in the residential area.

Comm Samah said police were developing a photofit of the suspect.

"The car he was driving was reported stolen in Shah Alam in 2015.

"Efforts to track him down are ongoing. So far, there is only one suspect involved in the case," he noted.

The victims lost about RM2,000 in the burglary.

Pete Rose on Trump: A Signed Baseball Is Not An Endorsement................

Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump on Sunday tweeted what appeared to be an endorsement from Pete Rose, the once legendary — now blacklisted — professional baseball player and manager.

"Mr. Trump," began a note that was scrawled on a baseball and posted to Trump's Twitter account. "Please make America great again" — an apparently reference to Trump's infamous slogan.

The ball seemed to be signed by Rose — but on Monday lawyer Ray Genco disputed that his client had offered any endorsement.

"Pete has made a point not to 'endorse' any particular presidential candidate," Genco said in a statement to NBC News. "Though he respects everyone who works hard for our country — any outlet that misinterpreted a signed baseball for an endorsement was wrong. Pete did not send any candidate a baseball or a note of endorsement."

Genco added that through his "discussions with Pete about this cycle, I've learned that he believes that who to vote for is a decision each voter should decide for him or herself."

Earlier Sunday, Trump announced that Rose should be allowed in Major League Baseball's Hall of Fame.

Too many hot nights will leave you feeling like you're battling a hangover...................333

Today NASA has confirmed that for the third month in a row, we’ve smashed global temperature records, with February 2016 not only being declared the hottest February in recorded history, but it’s also the hottest February in recorded history by the largest ever margin.

NASA has also confirmed that 2015 was the hottest year on record, and 15 of the 16 warmest years on record have occurred since 2001, so… you guessed it: we’ve got a lot of hot nights ahead of us. And that’s not just bad news for the environment - researchers say a string of hot, sweaty nights can leave you feeling like you’ve woken up with a serious hangover.

Turns out that while it might feel nice to rip off the doona and sleep naked in the cool sheets, your body actually needs some low-temperature nights to ensure a proper night’s sleep, according to Christopher Gordon, a research scientist in thermal biology and sleep at the University of Sydney in Australia.

"For us to fall asleep, what needs to happen is a thermal or body temperature cascade has to occur," he told Jenna Price at The Sydney Morning Herald. "[Y]ou need to get rid of heat from the body ... the maximal rate of core temperate decline gives you the greatest opportunity to get to sleep."

Turns out, the relatively low temperature of 18 degrees Celsius (65 degrees Fahrenheit) is the absolute best for a good night’s sleep, because that’s what it takes for your body to lose a lot of the heat it’s accumulated during the day.

According to the US National Sleep Foundation, your body temperature will fluctuate naturally throughout the day, but will reach its lowest level at around 5am, when you should be well and truly into your 'deep sleep' phase. After this point, your body temperature will slowly rise again as morning approaches.

This delicate rise and fall of body temperatures can be thrown out of whack if your room is too hot or too cold, and if your body can’t hit that ‘sweet spot’ at around 4-5am, you’ll likely be restless and missing out on those vital deep sleep hours. And that’s when the painful mornings happen.

As Gordon explains, if you’ve been hot all day, and you come home to an unairconditioned house, your body doesn’t have much of a chance to cool itself down - you’re "maximally dilated", and there’s no escape, he says.

"[B]ecause it's been quite humid, you are more likely to sweat, and the sweat will stay on your skin because it's warm ... and then you wake up because you are uncomfortable," he told The Sydney Morning Herald.

Not only does a poor night’s sleep bring with it the symptoms of a hangover, including fluid retention, puffy skin, headaches, a lack of concentration, poor memory, and increased blood pressure, it can also seriously affect your health and metabolism.

Markham Heid from Time Magazine describes the results of a 2014 study by the US National Institutes of Health, where participants were asked to sleep in rooms cooled to optimal temperatures for a month:

"Healthy men who spent a month sleeping in a cool (but not cold) 66-degree room (18 degrees Celsius) increased their stores of metabolically active brown fat, says Francesco Celi, chair of Virginia Commonwealth University’s division of endocrinology and metabolism. 'Brown fat' may not sound very desirable, but it actually helps your body burn calories and dispose of excess blood sugar, he explains."

"We found that even a small reduction in bedroom temperature affects metabolism," Celi added.

So we know that most of us are in store for a whole lot more hot nights in our lifetime - for Australians, February 2016 had the equal fewest number of nights under 19 degrees in recorded history - and many of us aren’t lucky enough to live in temperature-regulated homes, so what can we do to make sure all that inevitable heat doesn’t mess with our sleep (and sanity)?

Senior research fellow at the Australian Centre for Sleep Research, Siobhan Banks, told Price at The Sydney Morning Herald that a simple two-fan solution - one for each bed occupant - can work well, and a cold shower before bed can also help your body lose some of that heat it’s accumulated throughout the day.

The best thing to do is try different methods to cool down, and figure out what works best for you. The last thing you need is the feeling of a hangover without the fun.

"When you are constantly having restricted or impaired sleep that will lead to feeling more sleepy and less productive during the day," says Gordon. "There are safety concerns in the workplace ... and everyone is going to feel a lot more exhausted.

tu Aussies get hot under the collar.........

In the early hours of Sunday morning an argument between two people escalated into what was thought to be Sydney's largest street brawl in a decade. Though initial reports said the brawl involved about 200 people, New South Wales police later said 30 people were actually involved.

Meanwhile in Melbourne more than 100 people were involved in a fight apparently instigated by a local gang.

The temperature in Sydney exceeded 28°C on Saturday, the 37th consecutive day of unusually hot and humid weather.

"Almost certainly the heat makes people crankier and hot-headed like on Sunday when two taxis crashed into each other, one ending up against a pole trying to get to the same fare first," said Gordian Fulde, head of the casualty department at Sydney's St Vincent's hospital.
